Val's first White Sox game!

Courtesy of my firm, I made it to a White Sox game for the first time tonight! It was a blast, and I even got to eat a hot dog and some curly fries.


Awesome. Even more awesome, the Sox won handily, with numerous homers and no runs by the Royals. (It's always nice to see a game where your team wins; we didn't get that chance at the Cubs game in 2006.)

The best play of the night was when at least four Royals attempted - and failed - to catch a fly ball. However, you can't say that without qualification, since running up to the ball without your arms out doesn't really qualify as "attempting" to catch the ball.


All in all, a very good night. Take me out to the ball game any old time.
