I went to get tattoos this weekend with my little sister, so cross one item off of my resolutions for 2015.
We went to Basement Ink in Oak Forest! Michelle had Ivan:
And I had Eamonn:
Michelle got Kokopelli, a Native American god that appears on many pieces of artwork and petroglyphs. Our dad really liked Kokopelli and it has trickled down to me and Michelle. I'd say it was a fitting tribute to Dad, but he hated us getting tattoos, so I won't go that far.
(I think he always saw us as his little girls, freckled and innocent, not tattooed and wild.)
Here's mine, which is a play on Polish folk art flowers that my friend showed me.
She wants to get this as a tattoo, too, but I beat her to it! (Don't worry, I checked if it was OK!)
I totally want to expand with more flowers, but I guess I should let this one heal and save up a little money first.
I also signed up for two 5Ks and have been running 2.5 and 3 miles at a time, so I feel that the 5K resolution will be achieved in early April. Hooray!
But Where are the Blue Birds?
