Colorado, Day 6: Leaving Vail

We left Avon and Vail on day 6 to go to Colorado Springs to visit Jamison's grandparents. They have a condo there, and we wanted to thank them for allowing us to use their timeshare in Avon.

We had breakfast at Denny's, near this bear statue, and then got on the road again. Jamison kindly drove again through the mountains, and Julie and I were able to snap many photos on the way.

We saw lots of ski slopes and beautiful snow-covered peaks and trees on the way.

I love the two lines of trees in this one, and the snowy mountains in the next one.

This next one may be my favorite, with the striped clouds that almost look like a reflection of the mountain at right.

Yes, OK, there were a lot of mountain pictures!

This next one shows a bunch of cars and people parked on a frozen lake! Crazy.

We had a delicious dinner with Jamison's grandparents and shared skiing stories from the week. We were sad to be leaving Colorado, but I was ready to return to the job search and my cute little bunny, Max!
