A boo-tiful night

As usual, we attended the law student Halloween party in Chicago, where we saw all kinds of fun costumes on the street and in the house.

First, Julie came up and we dressed up the Little Man in a bee costume that I bought this year. He did not enjoy.

Julie and I dressed up at the house before heading out, and we had a good time chatting and joking about our costumes.

I went as a German beer maiden, and Julie went as her World of Warcraft character, a blue troll shaman. (Don't ask me, I don't know anything about the game, but I did enjoy the blue version of Julie - she looked like a battle smurf.)

Then we picked up Dave at the airport, and I got to see him for the first time since Monday morning! I'll say, five days and four nights without Dave was certainly a very boring, lonely, and stressful week, but I suppose an absence like this makes you really appreciate your spouse anew.

We picked up Joanna, who was dressed up as the Ghoul Next Door:

After we picked up Joanna and did Dave's makeup - Zombie Financial Aid Counselor - we headed over to the law school party.

There were some some strange things going on, but nothing too unusual for Halloween night, I suppose.

For example, there were a variety of fruits and vegetables on the dance floor (a.k.a. Ed's coffee table).

We also saw lots of bizarre costumes in the streets of Lincoln Park, including the Hamburgler, the entire cast of Teletubbies, quite a few French maids, and some creepy people that we weren't entirely sure were dressing up intentionally.

All in all, a pretty fun Halloween night, and now I can relax, take down my decorations, and gear up for the end of the semester and the holiday season.

And apparently I have to watch out for zombies.
