Bunnies, bunnies everywhere!

Today was our third annual attendance at the House Rabbit Society's long-running Bunnyfest Picnic, and oh, a good time was had by all. We brought both bunnies this year, in contrast to two years ago, when we brought only Zelda, or last year, when we brought neither. (Dave had torn off half the skin on his foot and couldn't go.)

Even Moby made friends! At first, he ignored every other bunny, but he eventually warmed up to a few, especially one that had fur like Zelda. I should mention that both of them tolerated their leashes admirably, and were the talk of the bunny folk.

Speaking of talk of the bunny folk, someone brought a Flemish giant, which is just about the largest bunny breed known to Earth. (The photo at the top of this post is him; his name is Peter. Peter the humongous rabbit.)

Here is a photo of Zelda next to him:

Yeah. He could squash her to death. (You can see she is not intimidated.) Oh, and just for some more perspective, here is a photo of a Flemish giant next to a mid-size dog:

Holy crap. That thing could hold its own against a pack of wolves. As you can probably guess, I WANT ONE.

Anyhow, it was very fun to take them out and to meet other bunny parents. This is about the most socialization the rabbits get, and it's fun for everyone involved. (Maybe a little too much fun, as you can see by the decorations on this SUV.) Can't wait to go again next year!
