First off, it was freezing out, so Dave lent Uncle John a coat - "the Raven." The Raven is a very old, very shiny windbreaker that I have begged Dave to dispose of, but it always seems to find a way back into our closet. (Admittedly, I now feel bad for the coat.) Well, Uncle John wore the Raven tonight, and if anyone can make the Raven look good, it's Uncle John.

We headed to our favorite local margarita bar - Fuego! The dinner was a success, even if Kerry was disappointed he couldn't eat it all. (No one ever finishes their whole dinner at Fuego.)

It was a very fun, relaxing end to my first day at a law firm! I worked today as a summer law clerk at a local suburban firm, and I learned a bit about estate planning through my research. (I can't say much more - confidentiality, you know! I feel so important...)
So far, work at the firm and summer research is going well. Grades are still trickling in, and I'm just waiting for a couple more with bated breath. It's been a mixed bag of marks, but what can I say. Could always be worse! At this point, I'm statistically ensured to retain my scholarship for another year, and that's what I had set out to achieve in the first place.
Have to keep things in perspective, right?
