Hokie at heart

The horrible events at Virginia Tech have hit home for me and Dave, not only because Dave was an undergraduate at Virginia Tech, but it was the site of several happy visits that I made during the first few months of our relationship.

Dave has said it better than I could, so I won't say much more. I will only say that my memories of Virginia Tech were all very happy ones, and that it was a beautiful campus that impressed me very much. Because of those happy memories, and many more that Dave shared with his friends in his senior year, I think Dave's last year there was his favorite.

Although I am first and foremost a Redbird (and now a Blue Demon...), I am also a little bit of a Hokie at heart. I'll be thinking of my Virginia Tech alumni friends, especially those who lost someone in this tragedy.
