New pasta recipe

Keeping with my domesticity lately, I have invented a new recipe. Rather, I adapted it from a cookbook with my own twist. Dave and I are having it tonight before we head down to Bloomington.

Gorgonzola Mushroom Pasta

Serves two; preparation time: 45 min. to 1 hour

Ingredients:

8 oz. Pasta (half a box)
2 cups heavy cream (1 pint)
Handful mushrooms, chopped
Handful garlic (1 whole bulb), chopped
2 oz. Gorgonzola cheese, crumbled
1 1/2 tbsp. Parmesan cheese
Pinch of salt
Pinch of pepper
1 1/2 tbsp. Parsley (dry is fine)
Olive oil

Instructions:

1. Boil cream for 30-45 min. or until thick like a white sauce.
2. Chop mushrooms and garlic and sautee in olive oil.
3. Boil pasta.
4. When sauce is thickened, remove from heat and add gorgonzola, parmesan, salt, pepper, and parsley.
5. Toss sauce with pasta and top with garlic and mushrooms.

Enjoy!
