Single crochet dish cloth

It has been a while since I posted a pattern, so I thought I'd give it a whirl with these 100% cotton dish cloths that I made for a friend's wedding.  I made mine with Lion Brand Kitchen Cotton in white and Sugar 'n Cream in Mod Blue.

With main color, ch 2.

Rnd 1: In 2nd ch from the hook, 8 sc.  Join with sl st to 1st sc of rnd.

Rnd 2: Ch 1, sc 1 in same st (place marker and move on each rnd), * 3 sc in next st, 1 sc in next st, rep from * 2 times more.  3 sc in last st.  Join with sl st to 1st sc of rnd.

Rnd 3: Ch 1, sc 1 in same st, 1 sc in next st, * 3 sc in next st, 1 sc in ea of next 3 sts, rep from * 2 times more.  3 sc in next st, 1 sc in last st.  Join with sl st to 1st sc of rnd.

Rnd 4: Ch 1, sc 1 in same st, 1 sc in next 2 sts, * 3 sc in next st, 1 sc in ea of next 5 sts, rep from * 2 times more.  3 sc in next st, 1 sc in last 2 sts.  Join with sl st to 1st sc of rnd.

Rnd 5: Ch 1, sc 1 in same st, 1 sc in next 3 sts, * 3 sc in next st, 1 sc in ea of next 7 sts, rep from * 2 times more.  3 sc in next st, 1 sc in last 3 sts.  Join with sl st to 1st sc of rnd.

Rnd 6: Ch 1, sc 1 in same st, 1 sc in next 4 sts, * 3 sc in next st, 1 sc in ea of next 9 sts, rep from * 2 times more.  3 sc in next st, 1 sc in last 4 sts.  Join with sl st to 1st sc of rnd.

Rnd 7: Ch 1, sc 1 in same st, 1 sc in next 5 sts, * 3 sc in next st, 1 sc in ea of next 11 sts, rep from * 2 times more.  3 sc in next st, 1 sc in last 5 sts.  Join with sl st to 1st sc of rnd.

Rnd 8: Ch 1, sc 1 in same st, 1 sc in next 6 sts, * 3 sc in next st, 1 sc in ea of next 13 sts, rep from * 2 times more.  3 sc in next st, 1 sc in last 6 sts.  Join with sl st to 1st sc of rnd.

Rnd 9: Ch 1, sc 1 in same st, 1 sc in next 7 sts, * 3 sc in next st, 1 sc in ea of next 15 sts, rep from * 2 times more.  3 sc in next st, 1 sc in last 7 sts.  Join with sl st to 1st sc of rnd.

Rnd 10: Ch 1, sc 1 in same st, 1 sc in next 8 sts, * 3 sc in next st, 1 sc in ea of next 17 sts, rep from * 2 times more.  3 sc in next st, 1 sc in last 8 sts.  Join with sl st to 1st sc of rnd.

Rnd 11: Ch 1, sc 1 in same st, 1 sc in next 9 sts, * 3 sc in next st, 1 sc in ea of next 19 sts, rep from * 2 times more.  3 sc in next st, 1 sc in last 9 sts.  Join with sl st to 1st sc of rnd.

Rnd 12: Ch 1, sc 1 in same st, 1 sc in next 10 sts, * 3 sc in next st, 1 sc in ea of next 21 sts, rep from * 2 times more.  3 sc in next st, 1 sc in last 10 sts.  Join with sl st to 1st sc of rnd.

Rnd 13: Ch 1, sc 1 in same st, 1 sc in next 11 sts, * 3 sc in next st, 1 sc in ea of next 23 sts, rep from * 2 times more.  3 sc in next st, 1 sc in last 11 sts.  Join with sl st to 1st sc of rnd.  Cut main color and bind off.

Rnd 14: Join with sc to the middle sc of any 3-sc corner.  2 more sc in same st. Ch 1, skip 1 st, sc in next st.  When you reach the corner, 3 sc in middle sc of next 3-sc corner.  Repeat pattern around and join with sl st to 1st sc of rnd.  Bind off and weave in ends.
