Christmas Wreath

Continuing my trend of completing one yarn project per day this Christmas break, I made a Christmas wreath last night out of yarn balls.  I had seen the idea in the window of a Starbucks store years ago and it has always stuck with me.

First I bought a styrofoam floral ring and wrapped it in yarn.  Because you have to bring the yarn in and around the ring repeatedly, all while gluing it down with foam glue, this is the really time-consuming part.

Then I made yarn balls of varying sizes and glued them to the wreath with hot glue.  Big and small green balls with small red balls for holly berries.

It wasn't as fun or fast to make as I always imagined, but I'm really glad I finally finished this wreath!

Merry Christmas!
