Soul food celebration!

February is Black History Month, and in honor of the many accomplishments of the African Americans, we at the Daley Center are celebrating one in particular: soul food!

My coworkers helped organize a luncheon on the sixth floor, and here's what my plate looked like:
  • Fried chicken breast
  • Turkey meat
  • Potato salad
  • Candied sweet potatoes
  • Corn meal dressing
  • Roll
  • Corn bread
  • Macaroni and cheese
  • Black-eyed peas
  • Peach cobbler
  • Apple pie
There were also green beans and other choices for dessert, such as cookies and something that was either sweet potato pie or pumpkin pie.


Someone get a wheelbarrow, I might need some help getting home.
