Maybe this is why the economy failed

I read through the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin classifieds every day to send job postings to my under- or unemployed attorney friends. Today I saw one that really makes me sad.

Wanted: Disbarred lawyer wanted for mortgage Loan Company, present position Palatine, IL. This will give you some income while you put your life back in order. American Home Finance (number withheld for this blog)

What the hell?! Great, so finance companies are running around purposefully hiring disbarred attorneys to deal with loans? Umm, do they know that many disbarred attorneys lost their licenses over financial issues?

Siggghhhhhh. This posting is almost as depressing as the bankruptcy / divorce attorney position in Pekin, IL for under $30K (with no vacation).
