The bar is melting my mind

Overall I think studying for the bar has been going well, but I some cognitive impairments have been cropping up lately that make me think that my brain is starting to overheat.

I usually do pretty well at keeping everything together - juggling multiple commitments, getting chores done, completing schoolwork, etc. But lately I've been having some problems focusing. For instance, I almost blew a red light for the first time in years. I also almost drove away from my parents' house with the trunk wide open.

At a friend's graduation party a few weeks ago, I called a watermelon a pineapple.

Going to a friend's child's first birthday party last weekend, Dave had to repeat directions two to three times for each turn. He'd tell me where to turn, and five to thirty seconds later, I'd have to ask him to repeat it - I can't keep the names in my head.

There are also other things, like having difficulty writing, typing, and speaking. Here's hoping that these communication issues clear up by late July...

On the other hand, I've been doing well on the practice tests and I feel good about my progress. I just can't wait to get it all out of my brain.

Even a bit impaired, you're still sharper than most!

Just don't forget to pick me up at the train station! :)
