Dave and I were not able to attend the Light the Night Walk tonight due to inclement weather. Not only did flooding close down some major roads in the Chicagoland area, but walking down the street in a thunderstorm with umbrellas and balloons on wire strings didn't seem like a good idea. Plus, my dad is the one who had leukemia, so if he says he's not going, that's good enough for me.
A big, big thank you to everyone who donated. As a result of your efforts, I raised over $500 for leukemia research. This cause is so important to me and my family, and it is fund-raising efforts like this that have improved the survival rate for blood cancers.
So thanks again, and I'll see you next year on Team Sherman.
