...And a Wildcat is born

Congratulations to Dave, who has been accepted as a nonmatriculated student at Northwestern's program for a master's degree in higher education administration!

Higher education administration degrees are for people who want to be academic deans - like Dave! His career in financial aid has brought him to this point, and with a degree from a hot spot like Northwestern, I think he'll have his pick of schools to apply to when he's out. (Hmm, a lawyer and a university dean - looks like our five-year plan is working out...)

Oh, and as a nonmatriculated student, he's taking a class to try out the program first, then he applies to the program officially. (However, I think he's a shoo-in anyway.)

What do you get when you cross a Wildcat with a Hokie? A wookiee? Ehh, I guess he kind of looks like Dave.

So, congratulations Dave, and I know you'll do great!

Why thanks, folks! Ever since I was a child I've wanted to be a Wookiee - never in my wildest dreams did I think I would get the chance.
