You know that feeling, when you feel inside your pocket and find a $20 bill? It feels like free money, because you didn't really know you had it. However, it really isn't free, because you had it all along anyway.
That's what we did today, except we found $2,000 worth of "free" money! I know it isn't free, especially because we're giving up so much income to go back to school, but it's still nice to have. Being a student, apparently, looks good on your taxes.

I also got some serious work done on the afghan I'm making for my friend Helen; this blanket has been two years in the making, and it's time to put it to rest. Mike's cats very much enjoyed playing with the yarn.

Oh I know, isn't it great???? Between owning the house and Jamie going back to school, we definitely have enough to build the fence and even have some left over!
I mean, I know realistically, getting a huge refund is a bad thing because it means we've been overpaying the government all year when we could have been investing that money and earning interest, but whatevs, yay free money!!!
Glad you'll be doing good on the tax front. Didn't Mike's cat bother your allergies?
Oh, I was very Claritin-ed up. So much so that I fell asleep during Indiana Jones, but oh well! ;o)
