Back to their old selves

The bunny treatment has been going well. I have learned to give my rabbit subcutaneous penicillin injections. (And this is the person who faints at vaccinations!)

I was initially having a lot of problems, but I think I have discovered the trick. I won't go into it here, because it's pretty gross and kind of difficult to explain, so just trust me on this one.

We're going down to see my parents today, so we're leaving them home alone, with lots of lettuce. I was saying in previous posts how proud I am of those two that they are still so kind to each other, even in sickness.

However, lately I think they have been getting back to their old selves. This means I put food down, and they take the carrots out of the pile and run away with them, like squirrels with nuts. They don't want the other to get their special treats.

And, of course, Zelda will be uninterested in parsley - until the little man starts eating it. At that point, she must grab whatever parsley he is eating, from his mouth, and run away with it. What weird little creatures.

Valerie, so glad to hear the bunnies are doing better. Wouldn't it be nice if they could communicate to you when they don't feel well? Mom
