The legal writing paper is done. The civil procedure exam is done. I turned in the take-home contracts exam this morning. I'm three-fifths of the way there...
Only constitutional law and torts to go! On Tuesday, December 19, I will be a free woman. (For approximately a month.)
It's definitely a different life right now than the typical school day. I definitely realize how much we all depend on each other here, when I'm home more during the day - even if I have my nose in a book.
First, Dave and I always eat dinner together on a normal day, so now that we're not going to school/work every day, we've got breakfast, lunch, and dinner - and I notice how much Dave depends on me, the cook of the house.
For example, I went out with my old coworker on Sunday to get some clearance candles from our PartyLite lady, and when I got home, Dave told me that he was really hungry because he hadn't eaten, and he forgets to when I'm not around. (Aww...)
Then, I get home way early today after I turn in my contracts final, and Zelda simply cannot stop following me around. I gave her a carrot in the kitchen, and she sat at my feet for a while, and then she looked so desperate that I actually picked her up with me on the couch, and she's been sitting on my lap for the last hour.
She is still sitting on my lap, munching away as I type - she's happy if I rest my arms on her while I type on the laptop! (In fact, is my bunny the "laptop" at this point?)
What do the bunnies do during the day when we're not around? What would Dave eat if I went on vacation? Sigh...
Anyway, Dave is taking his last final today - he's a free man as of 7 p.m. tonight. Lucky guy. Oh, and I got his Christmas present today - I think he'll be excited! I'll get a picture of him with it later.
OK, time to start working on the next two finals. I'll be lucky if I post again before next Tuesday. In fact, if the bunny doesn't get tired of sitting on me, I might not get up from the couch until next Tuesday! (Aww, cute bunny.)

you saying dave is free before you reminds me of my situation- alex is completely done for the semester, but i still have 3 cumulative math finals left!!!
im so jealous and i cant wait to be done with these classes and get back to adding money to my accounts instead of just draining them...
hi Val, just thought I'd write a line or two. I'm happy that you're in law school (and that now I finally know what J.D. stands for!), and if it makes any sense I feel that my friends' accomplishments reflect on me a little, as well. And though I empathize with your stress and business during finals time, I have to admit that I was really relieved that you finally posted an update!! It's the only way I know what's going on in your and Dave's life most of the time. I hope that we'll have a chance to hang out sometime...maybe at Camila and Peter's wedding?
Aww, that story about Dave is really cute.
Annie gets really thrown off when our schedules change too.
