A night to celebrate

Dave and I went to a local Chinese restaurant today to celebrate the fact that the Democrats are now in full control of Congress! I just can't even believe it, I have to keep repeating it like this. The House and the Senate! I never would have hoped for news as good as this.

The restaurant we went to, Sun Shui, also has good sushi, so I tried some crab-avocado rolls. It was pretty decent, but a little fishy for my taste. (Duh, it's seafood.) So I think I will be sticking with my General Tso's chicken for now.

And here's the backhanded fortune cookie I got:

"Your success will astonish everyone."

Okay, so I'll be successful, that's nice - but if people are astonished by that, is that a good thing? "Wow, she really didn't screw up too bad!" Such a funny, backhanded little fortune cookie.

Oh, and speaking of desserts - I forgot to mention what a success the Section B baking day was today. I brought in chocolate cake and cinnamon cookies, and other people brought in tasty goodies, as well (like Tara's rice crispies and chocolate chip cookies, Julie's meringue cookies, and Kate's peanut butter cookies)!

I thought it was a fun way to break up the week; maybe we'll do it again come the holiday season. I'm sure the guys in the section wouldn't mind.

Valerie, I can't imagine that your success would astonish anyone (oh, and you will be successful).
Oh, and by the way, don't fall off your chair, but I have a new post!
