Home for the holidays

Everyone's coming home in time for the Thanksgiving.

First, the "relief" good news - Dad is home! Mom picked him up on Sunday, and she said he couldn't be happier to be home. I'm getting even more excited about coming down on Thanksgiving.

I also found out that my mom printed out a bunch of my blogs and gave them to Dad while he was in the hospital. He read them and said I'm one crazy kid, haha.

The other piece of good news is that Andy is back from the Quad Cities! He's working downtown now, and we met today for some fun times in his state office downtown.

Basically, I corrupted him and his coworkers with a very addicting
online word game that Julie showed me. It's good to see Andy again - he gave me cold medicine, carried my enormous backpack, and bought chocolate with me!

Dinner was also pretty tasty; I have been getting into ditalini pasta, these tiny little Tart 'n' Tiny-size pasta noodles. Tonight I made them with gorgonzola cheese sauce with grated parmesan on top.

Speaking of food, Mom and I are going to double-team Thanksgiving dinner. First on my list of sides is a creamy garlic potato gratin recipe I tried out recently. I'll have fun thinking about that over the next week...not to mention a few days off class and work!

Ooooh, that pasta looks really goooood! I posted more comments to your Facebook post about this since I saw that one first.

It's the same gorgonzola cheese sauce I posted on this blog, and I think on MySpace, too, except without the mushrooms.
