Crochet with Kids 101

Oy...I taught another crochet class today to a group of kids. I don't know how parents do it. Being around children is exhausting. I swear to god, the one kid was chock full of more A.D.D. than Dennis the Menace on crack. Try getting THAT kid to hold a crochet needle and sit still for two hours.

On the other hand, I also taught an adult intermediate class last week, where I got a really neat pattern idea for a scarf.

Basically, you take one strand of regular yarn, then two strands of the fuzzy fun fur stuff, and crochet all three strands together with single stitches.

Mine has mint green yarn in the middle, with white and baby pink fuzzy yarn poofing out everywhere.

My student made a rug with the same stitch, and it turned out nicely.

Dave and I are going to see "Borat" tonight - I think it will be the first movie we've gone to see in ages.

I think I shall wear my new scarf, bwahaha. Cold, do your worst. This is the thickest scarf ever.

I can't remember the last movie I went to the theater to see. I think it was Family Man with Nicky Baby, and that was about 4 years ago. I have no problem with renting, in fact, I prefer it that way.
