OK, I'm super busy with reading, but some disturbing cases for tomorrow's reading made me want to write.
In Constitutional Law, we're reading about assisted suicide, the right to refuse medical treatment - all kinds of fun end-of-life discussions. And in one case, a comatose woman's right to refuse medical treatment was denied because her family couldn't prove by "clear and convincing evidence" that she would not want to live in a persistent vegetative state.
I have had discussions with people, and though I haven't yet written a will, I figure now's the time to put it in writing - I would not want to live as a vegetable. Maybe you don't know this, but I very much value walking, talking, eating (mmm), and various other aspects of a substantially conscious life.
So, if I get hit by a bus on the way home tonight and can no longer control the function of my bladder, large intestine, or motor ability, it's here - clear and convincing, people! Pull the plug! That's all I've got to say.

Consider your plug pulled!
Who is this anonymous person pulling my plug?!
Your mother, of course. I know it drives you nuts, the anonymous thing.
Mom
Oh, okay, I just didn't think that you'd post under anonymous when you have a username.
You'll pull my plug, right? :o)
By the way, when are you going to do another blog post? Come on!
