Sock a Sox!

As I said in the previous post — it was a pretty crazy weekend!

To recap:

Saw part of the Sox-Cubs game on Saturday with Grandma, just in time to see the punch heard 'round the world between Mike Barret & A.J. Pierzynski. Didn't know MLB could be so dramatic.

"The Da Vinci Code" was good, although the acting was as wooden as I'd heard. I will also never understand why directors feel they need to ADD material to movies that are written from books. The book was long enough, and had enough crazy plot twists without inventing a few more! The same with Harry Potter and other similar situations.

Seeing Dad play out again was fun — although the "entertainment" came as much from the audience as the band. From an extremely drunk Mexican kid hitting on Dave to an old man who played air guitar with his gun-shaped cane, it was quite a night.

On Sunday, through various scrapping sessions with Diane & Andy, I almost finished the honeymoon scrapbook — finally. Let's hope that I finish by the time Dave gets back from Florida, so I can finally put it all away and we can have a living room floor again.

So, yeah, to that point, Dave left for Florida this morning, and I vaguely remember saying goodbye to him sometime around 3:30 a.m. I know I'm going to miss him in the next few days, as this is really the longest we'll have been apart since we have lived together, but I look at it as an opportunity to clean the hell out of the apartment.
