Happy (almost) birthday, Tiffany!

The law students hosted a little shindig for Tiffany's upcoming birthday tonight, and a fun time was had by all. If the point of the event was to get everyone together in Alec's backyard, eat a ton of delicious food, and tell dirty jokes all night and disturb Alec's neighbors, then mission accomplished.

Here's an idea of the menu: grilled bratwursts, four pounds of BBQ pulled pork, vegetable grill boats, cheese ball dip, Julie's mint meringue cookies, lemon squares, and "Soderberg surprises," which were chocolatey banana boats. Oh, and birthday cake! Mmm.

I should note that at least some of the vegetables, notably the green beans, were stolen by Tiffany from the neighbor's vegetable patch. There's really no telling what will happen when the law students get together.

We also really liked Alec's Logan Square neighborhood, as it was easy to get to from the interstate and really easy to find parking, not to mention his apartment was spacious and awesome. I think that neighborhood will go into the running for next year's apartment search, if we end up living downtown!

At any rate, it was good to get together and celebrate Tiffany's impending 25th. She is one of my best friends in law school, and I wish her a great time and a happy birthday!
