Flashback

Today I helped Andy and Jo move into their new apartment - their first as a couple. We unloaded all their stuff from a truck, fit it into their adorable flat, and relaxed with some Iranian food. (Mmm...)

It reminded me of moving into our first apartment, with mismatching furniture and excitement about finally cohabitating. (Wait, I still have mismatched furniture...)

I remember Big Dave, Deb, and Dave pulling up with the packed-to-the-brim moving van. I freaked out, because I didn't think it would all fit into our one-bedroom apartment. It did - sort of.

As I said to Jo's mom tonight, I miss that first apartment, even if it was small and crappy. It will be nice, though, to stretch our legs eventually in a place that has more than one bedroom.

Good luck to Andy and Jo in their new place! Can't wait to see what you do with it. Such a cute place, I know they will have a great first year living together.
