Well, I finished my last final on Tuesday. Here's a photo that pretty much sums up that day:
Anyway, moving on. I got to hang out with Faron yesterday and met with my professor to start my research project. I have taken this time to try to start relaxing, although it's hard. We all feel like we should be studying something, as though the end of our first year hasn't quite hit us yet.
However, I have managed to relax and be productive all at once. Here's a project that I finished today:
This is a baby blanket for a JoAnn coworker's surprise baby shower this weekend. My family saw me making the granny squares on Mother's Day (and, of course, Dave has watched the little coaster-sized squares pile up around the coffee table). The baby room theme is circus, so I thought this would be a cute non-clown way to go.
Now back to research - it'll be a busy summer, but I'm looking forward to having more down-time than during the school year. I might only have to work 8 hours a day! Imagine that!!

Nice picture, Valerie. It makes a mother proud! Glad your semester is over, the blanket is cute. Mom
There are actually worse ones, sadly.
