In so many ways, law school is like high school. I have already posted about this, and in fact there is a Facebook group (which I belong to) entitled: "Dear Law School: High School Called, It Wants Its Drama Back."
Today, it was a fun day back, but certain things seemed sort of out of place for such a professional aspiration.
Number one, I forgot my locker combination. (How middle school.)
Number two, I was in the bathroom today, and somebody threw a pair of jeans into the bathroom, and then some guys came in and picked them up, giggling.
I don't get it - apparently someone took his pants off, and then other guys stole them and threw them into the girls' bathroom. Is this a juvenile thing, or is it just a guy thing?
Anyway, since DePaul only recognizes the dream of racial equality during the hours of 11 a.m. and 3 p.m., I had my first property class today.
It was interesting, though certainly nothing I had ever studied before. Something tells me it will be the more useful - for real-life situations - than any class I have taken so far, or will take this semester. Time will tell.
Until then, I have a dream - that I will be placed in an intellectual property-related summer job because of my very decent GPA! I guess time will tell on that one, too.
