Getting ducks in a row

I got my box 'o' duckies today! Completing my existing collection of two dozen rubber duckies, I ordered duckies in all sorts of themes: Halloween, Thanksgiving, St. Patty's Day, birthday, pirates, breast cancer awareness, wedding, Mardi Gras and more!

OK, now you're thinking I'm crazy, but I just think they're really cute! While I have a lot of random crap, I have few collections of anything specific, so here's one for the ages.

And look, they even have Village People duckies:

OK, so I put that together from a couple of different packs, but oh well. I thought it was funny.

In other news, lately I've been listening to a lot of Chicago Public Radio, a subsidiary of NPR. The news I've been getting has been much more wide-reaching than the news available on a lot of other radio stations. And with a great liberal slant!

Actually, it's not even that it's liberal, it's that the commentators ask the right questions, and really put people on the spot. I'm just not used to that anymore, with much of the media ignoring the Bush administration's problems. It's kind of sad that now we are shocked when people are willing to say what they think.

(Ironic) Word of the Day:

Nescience: Lack of knowledge or awareness; ignorance

Well, when you're old, your big ol' tattoos will be all saggy and wrinkly, so have fun with that!

I would've commented, I just was too busy (OK, now I'm sounding like someone we all know and love). The ducks are cute, altho a little over the top. As I say, everyone is into something. Me, I have about a dozen boxes each of material and yarn.
It's a nice change of pace to listen to different radio stations. I try and listen to the classical music to and from work, I figure it might calm me from all the traffic.
