Something seems familiar...

It's the middle of January, and everything is crap. As if to confirm this, The Guardian provided proof that January 24 really is the most depressing day of the year. I'm not going to disagree with that at the moment, given some stuff going on in my general world that I'm not going to post about publicly, but I was thinking that it reminded me of some opinion coverage I did of this phenomenon some years ago: my Vidette column about the Alpine Foehn.

Basically this phenomenon is all about changes in air pressure that drive some people crazy in the Alpine regions. Literally crazy. Anyway it was something I learned about after arriving in Salzburg for my study abroad, so you can imagine I was less than enthusiastic.

Anyway, if you are feeling like I am today, watch this, I guarantee it will make you happier.
